Please help. I think it’s either D or B .. but I’m not sure. What do you think?

Mouse : elephant

A.cat : dog
B.man : house
C.pen : book
D.aphorism [a concise statement of truth or principle] : essay

I believe they are referring to size, so they largest size difference between all of them i think would be the pen to book...so C

I think it is D. It is pretty weak as far as analogies go, but mice are very small mammals compared to elephants, much like an aphorism when compared to an essay.

The reason it is not B is because even though man is small compared to a house, they are not the same thing at all. Mouse and elephant are both animals, and an aphorism and essay are both statements of a principle; only an essay is much more detailed and lengthy.

An analogy is a partial resemblance or agreement between 2 things. It is a process whereby words and grammatical forms are built up on the model of others with which they have points of resemblance in meaning. Therefore the answer has to be D because an essay can also be an aphorism. Hope this helps

well it could be both d and c
d because it deals with the size and c because it deals with size.

but if i had to chose one i would say d because the mouse is tiny compared to the elephant as is the Aphorism to the essay since an essay deals with several different statments or principles within one big writing.
