I am reading Silent Fan. An historical fiction about Japan during foot binding days, and how the women had a secret language so that the men could not read or understand what they wrote on their fans. Very interesting book.

"The Earth is Flat" by Thomas Friedman is pretty interesting. He a journalist for the NY Times and he looks at globalization--he's a good enough writer to make it interesting.
