Yes, am trying to come to terms with it.
He was invincible, such an excruciating day in Australia.
The nation is in mourning, the feeling of loss in inconsolable.
Such an incredible man, larger than life, parliament is sitting right now here and the leaders are giving him a tribute.
He made such a contribution to all our lives, my heart goes out to Terri, Bindi and Bob.

I don't really know if I'm pissed, but definitely mortified. I read a quote today that said "he went the way he wanted to". I'm thinking "what, did he have it written down in a 10 ways I'd like to die list". I think he probably would have rather gone when he was about 85 or 90. Sting rays aren't the cutest thing in the world to start with, I think I would have stuck to the snakes and what nots.

Yes! and of all things, it wasn't a crock or a snake that killed him
His wife probably expected a python or a crock to get him. Sad thing is he leaves behind two small kids and in his line of work the probably couldn't get any life insurance. I'm not joking because I don't think its funny!!

I am sad not pissed it was a tragedy that it happened and happened the way it did! It was really devastating to my children they are the ones that are taking it hard! They just loved him and I did also! He showed great enthusiasm toward animal rights and he was just awesome to watch!!

Yeah, in a way. I am saddened more but you know, I hope that damned stingray died too! I'd be pissed if it's alive!

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Can't be pissed it isn's my place to be pissed. saddened yes.
in cycles of life there is timing and it was his time it could have happened anywhere anytime but it was when it was and by how it was. the only thing that we could wish for him was that it had happened fast.
condolenses to his wife and children and family.

pissed is a strange way to feel--you act as if he owed you more tv shows or something. i'm sad he died, especially having left young kids behind.
