i get really annoyed when i cant think of something to say to a person. Especially with girls. Im not afraid to appoach them i just sometimes (quite often) dont know what to say. Ive read that i should just say whatever is on my mind. But sometimes there is nothing on my mind and i draw a blank and there is an aqward silence which i hate. I really wish i could overcome this problem. It would give me so much more confidence. Do you guys have any suggestion on what i could do?
Thanks :)

I am not sure if you mainly wanted guys to answer this, I work with the public and I have found that watching the news the "odd ball" stuff, gives me an ice breaker every time, it is better than weather, what's your sign. I stay clear of politics, the best story I heard a few months ago was a guy's snake eating a queen size blanket. News of the weird is a good place to check.

Ask her about something you already know about her. If you know nothing from experience about her, then go with something you immediately see, like where did she get her neat glasses frames or something small like that. Quiet people like personal but confidence building questions. Oh, and that will get you feeling more confident coz how can that be messed up when asked? That can only go from good to better topics. Good luck!

Just ask about what are they into, their hobbies, interest, jobs, life, pets and anything else. It also good to say your answer once theyre done saying theres.

Example:

You - Whats your favorite movie?
Her - The Notebook
You - Oh really? Mines Fight Club

and then go on from there

Introduce yourself first, never just walk up to them and ask for their number. Make small talk but be respectful.
