In English: 402 keys per minute, 80 words per minute.
In German: 310 keys per minute, 62 words per minute. In a way, though, it isn't really a fair test because the software won't allow me to create the umlauted characters with the Alt-key and the keypad!

When I took keyboarding in high school in 1996, I was also chating on AOL, so I got pretty fast. My high was about 60 words a mintue. I do not type that fast now.

well, i recently took a test and fail only 38 wpm. but i having been typing for years and never had to take a typing test for a job. I recently took a test on yahoo and it was 50 wpm
