Many people find it easy to appear like they love Jesus and that He is the centre of their life, when they are in church or around other people who attend their church. Its like changing clothes for different occasions. If someone truely has Jesus in their heart they will be unselfish, loving and not change once they step outside the church door. Sorry darl there are lots of people like that.

How they are outside is your real picture of the person. A person can not love Jesus with all their heart and act different outside of church.

I think people go to church because a part of them may want to change or out of fear ... either one .... and when they leave yes they indeed tend to forget .... if not in a habit ... but some do try to catch themselves.... but i know what you are saying ..... and yes hypocrite is a word that is used to describe it but i dont like the word as we are ALL hypocrites in this world .... for one reason or another... that is a whole nother issue lol ....but i would say people just totally forget once outside of church and or forget... they will think about it later when they have to pray that night and ask for forgiveness lol....

Cause they are Sunday Christians. They put on the act on Sunday and pretend to be all "holy" but their true colours show when they think no one is watching. Could be either that or everyone falls into tempation, no ones perfect so even Christians will slip up.

I would take that to mean the person has not grown in Christ as a mature christian and still a baby chrisitan with infantile needs, wanting their needs met and not at a point to be Christ like and meet others needs.

it sounds like my sister -n-law she is the same way she preaches about the bible and Jesus in church and when she leaves church she is so cold hearted and hateful.

I ask myself the same questions they call themselves christians and yet they are horrible that is why i left the church scene but i still believe. they think that they are superiour to everyone else.
There is only a couple of people that i can really call christians and no i am not one of them but it really is pathetic.

how hard is it to be good in church? Christ said - who cares if you love your friends, everyone does that. I say, love your enemies.
He also said the pious hypocrites who pray in front of the church already have their reward.

this is the problem i have with some organized religion,put on your Sunday best,a happy face for a few hours and then go sling a few drinks and judge everybody and their mother!
