All of your answers are really helpful.... but some more tid-bits....

Affairs are well -known at my company, and I'm not married, so I feel a little differently toward my situation. Many co-workers have spouses, children, even grandchildren working at the same large company. I know my boss was having an affair w/ another coworker (before i was promoted) because she and I were friends. I've been seeing this guy for several months, and I have changed his life. and the girl who reffered to me as wanting to save him.... I already have. He could be the perfect person for me, minus all the material things taht he can't provide me.

I'm more worried about what people will think... Is it REALLY career SUICIDE? I never thought of it like that.... Will my boss, another dumb*** think of it that way?, will his boss? then his boss?

What's wrong with a single girl finding a man who may be right for her if it will NOT effect her career? I don't mix buisness w/ pleasure.

Don't worry about what they think. If these people are really professional and mature adults, it should in no way interfere with your career. If it's such a problem maybe he can change jobs. But I don't see why he should , especially if your married boss is having a affair at WORK. Get your happiness. Sometimes you have to think of yourself, hold your head high, and forget about what people say. They are going to talk about you no matter what. They talked about Jesus. So you must be doing something right. They may even be jealous of you, (a promotion, a new man). You're it.

It's effecting your life. It's not right - no matter how you slice it. It IS career SUICIDE and people may pretend to accept it, but you don't know what they're REALLY thinking. Stop it. Now. And find some guy your own age who's not married to someone already. Where will he be on Thanksgiving? Christmas? Think about it and stop it NOW.
