it is a goal unfortunately. the player who touched the ball before it hit the ref would get the goal.

the goal counts because the refree is part of the game just like all the other players. just like if the ball hits of a bird and goes in its a goal as long as it doesnt go out of the field its in play

I would say that you were blessed and like the answers I have already read I would say YES and YES! That must of been an exciting game.
Did this happen or it is something that you were wondering about? Ask the referee who would best know how to answer the question and give him or her 2 points.

HAHAHA!!!!! funky thought but it'll be a refree's ball where he decide to throw up high into the air and call upon 2 players of the both team to snatch the ball within 3 bounce or 1 it depends on him (i suppose=D)

it didn't happen before of my knowledge, and it is difficult to happen as the referee should stand in a way he can see all the players and the action. and if it happen it counts as a goal unless it was very questionable.
