I don't understand why bars were chosen as the main areas to implement smoking bans. Those are places where people to gather, drink, smoke, gamble, and hook up with some nasty thing that will make you regret a few things the next morning. It's the American way.
If you know a place is going to be heavy with cigarette smoke and you don't want to be exposed to it, DON'T GO THERE!
I don't smoke and hang with smokers. Smokers are people too.

Stop taking it as a personal offense. Smoking bans aren't just some arbitrary measure to limit people's freedom. Heck, most cigarette companies are vocally against any kind of bans at all. That means that there must have been a lot of support for the idea for it to have come as far as it has. We don't live in a free society, you know. Everything's decided by the majority, and in this case... And yes, it does have to do with health reasons. Why should non-smokers get lung cancer from second-hand smoke just because you can't wait the 5 minutes it takes for you to go back to your house and smoke? Are you only able to enjoy cigarettes at a bar in front of strangers?

In Cali it is illegal to smoke in restaurants and bars(i think) but you still can smoke in a Hookah bar. Just a mile north of me, Solona Beach was the first beach in the country to ban smoking from the beach. Back in the 70s my dad says he would smoke Doja on the plane. Smoking is bad for you, unless you got a bing or bubbler or some other water pipe. I see that you like to smoke cigars, Now you probably like to smoke cigarettes, i think they are gross as hell and when i used to chief on them i felt like a scum of society, but doja is way better. Sometimes even us smokers don't want it arround us.
Be a man smoke ganja
Tobacco is gross, too much chemicals and tastes flippin terrible.
If you don't want to move to herb then you can always find a hookah bar.
doja is weed
bing is a bong
chiefing is smoking

I think you should be free to smoke at home or a friends' home, but anywhere else where your smoke is hurting everyone else is wrong. It's recently been proven that with as little as an hour of 2nd hand smoke a day you increase your risk of heart attack by 24%! If I work at taco bell right next to wendy's and everyone at wendy's smokes 10 feet away that's a hazard to me and short of quitting my job I'm out of luck.
The bottom line is that you are physically injuring everyone with the 2nd hand smoke radius of you everytime you smoke - and sometimes people can't avoid it. There are situations where people might not be able to get jobs at another restaurant, maybe it's the only restaurant in town and the person doesn't have a car. So he/she is forced to get 2nd hand smoke all day?
My drinking while sitting next to you doesn't give you 2nd hand liver disease.

i don't smoke but i don't think the gov should try to tell business owners they can't have smoking on there property i say put signs up stating this is a smoking establishment so that way if people don't want to deal with smokers they don't have to.and as far as people who work in these places where smoking is permitted i find it hard to believe that you couldn't find another place to work that didn't allow smoking but that's just my opinion

Smoking should be tolerated on places where it is appropriate and not totally ban it. Government earns so much taxes from smokers even when it is dangerous to the health.

So people who are sensitive and allergic to smoke can enjoy places in a smoke free environemt. This is bad to say, but, for smokers who object to laws against smoking in public places: I hope you have a child who gets lung cancer from your smoking. That seeems the only way to make you people understand that your smoking hurts us all.

People who don't smoke shouldn't be forced to breathe in passive smoke. Although it is not as harmful as actually smoking, some people have sensitive eyes or throats can be in the same places. This is why cigarettes are being sold to smoke in the comfort of one's own home.

Smoke all you like - as you say it is a free country and if you want to smoke you can. You just cannot smoke around me as your right to smoke is not superior to my right to breathe fresh air. No one is stopping you from smoking, just limiting where you can smoke and this is done for many activities - you cannot walk around naked outside but you can in your house, you cannot drive on the sidewalk but you can on the street. There is no difference. Quit whining.

I don't know why you chose Israel as a country with less freedom than America when there are so many better choices....but despite that, some people are allergic to cigarette smoke. For others still, it is no better than your not using deoderant....or crapping your pants.
