I have called the police, a nanny, the childs mother, and an adoption service to no avail! The child is starving and filthy. I can only get the childs name when I click on him, but no actions are allowed! Please help!

First, don't panic!
Second, hit Ctrl+Shift+C. The cheat bar will pop up at the top of the screen. Type in "move_objects on" (no quotes).
Go to buy mode. Click on the toddler. Sell her in buy mode. Save the game, and go back to the neighborhood. Go ahead and reenter the house (if you want to continue playing the same family), the baby should be gone, and back at his/her house.

ok go and click the fridge and then feed it a bottle !! and give it a bath in the tub. buy it a crib and and put it to sleep.
