Ever been to a fast food restaurant where an employee is wearing so much gold and diamonds that even King Tut would raise his eyebrows if he saw it!? I saw a young girl working the register while wearing several gold bracelets and diamond and gold rings on each finger and paper money covered, artificial-looking, long fingernails.

My mother has this dumb attitude that all people are judged by what they have, so she goes to great pains (and expense) to pretend she is wealthier than she actually is. It hasn't actually made her more popular but she can't be taalked around.

Here is another example of people who cannot live and let live. Just a couple of days ago, some guy was falling over his chair because he paid $150 for a night out with his wife and at the restaurant he was UPSET because some of the women were NOT wearing nylons! Another guy the following day had a similar problem with folks who were supposed to be "dressing UP" and some of the women were not wearing nylons!
If we are a nation of freedom to choose these things, then why are so many wanting CONFORMITY??? Do we need to be told how to dress if we are poor? Do we tell the rich how much jewelry they can wear depending on HOW rich..now keep in mind, the so-so rich may only wear certain types of jewelry, and the really really rich may do as they please?
Do you see why this cannot be done? Today it is YOU not liking what THEY are doing, tomorrow it is ME not liking what YOU are doing, and the next day it is someone else who does not like what I am doing. A never ending chain of snobbery.

humm. . Sam Walton the founder of Walmart lived a couple of streets over from me.. He was an old man and drove an old truck. His house at the time was only worth around 125,000 dollars USD. I could ride my bike right up to his house and did a couple of times. He was the richest man in the world till he split his money up with his family. Then if you was to meet Don Tyson in the top 40 richest just looks like anyone else you see on the streets. Same for JB Hunt again in the top 40 richest. Harvey Jones was a super rich man and he got stopped by the gard in his own trucking truck yard and was not allowed in because he looked like a bum.
So the rich try to look poor and the poor try to look rich. It has always been like that.

un to pretend they are sometihng they are not . Men to get laid , women to get a man the other wise would not . Wroking Class people should know and stay in thier place

In that Case you speak of some women are attracted by that. but when people in general wear richer clothing it is perhaps how they would be dressing if they were. nothing wrong with that. People like to look good.

How do you know if this wasn't this person's second or third job. Maybe this person have more money than you think. May it's yourself, there's the problem and not who you're picking on. On the other hand, may be her boyfriend gave all those things thtat's she wearing. Sometimes, I do realized myself that I'm awed by that too.

well, maybe they are just making a fashion statement. Or maybe making themselves look richer helps them deal with the fact that they are poor. i mean since they arent rich, why not boost yourself and look it right?

there's nothing wrong with wanting to look better then some people do,but i do agree with over doing it a bit.
but maybe some people wants to try to look at their best,and don't know they look trashy.
this is can bad for anyone.

They could have rich parents, or they are trying to pick up a rich mate, or as it is in most cases their fashion sense is just tacky.
