my best friend is less experienced, more naive, more conservative, less intelligent, less educated, more optimistic, more trusting, more cheerful, more religious, more innocent, and more passive
I am much more jaded, darker, and alot more driven. Not that I'm proud of that. I wish I could be more like her. .

My best friend is from the wrong side of the tracks, so to speak. She grew up in an abusive, broken, poor home with drug addicted parents. I grew up in a loving, wealthy home, and my parents never believed in spanking let alone beating. My parents are still married, hers aren't.
We were both teen moms but I went to college, she married an abusive man. I got married, she got divorced. I started my career, and she ended up in prison for forging a prescription.
I changed my career and opened an animal rescue shelter around the same time she found out she was HIV positive. I'm very involved in volunteer work, human rights, animal rights, etc. Now I also do support group work for friends and family of those living with HIV/AIDS.
In spite of all of our differences, we've been best friends for 22 years. We met when we were 10, her grandparents lived across the street from my parents. She has lived with us off and on for the past 22 years.

My bestfriend is much more outgoing and flirtacious than I am. We are actually very different people. I place a high priority on my education and am responsible while she would much rather go out and have a good time. If you ever read Goofus and Gallant in Highlights magazine, that pretty much describes us.

My best friend is a Lutheran who is the daughter of a Lutheran pastor. She is Pro-death penalty and strictly anti-abortion. She supports the current Government.
I am an energy healer who is anti-death penalty and pro-choice. I have very differant opinions about the government.
How is that for differances? :) Obviously we try not to talk about politics or abortion. . . strangley enough we get along fine talking religion.

No BEST friend, but a close one.
He's a guy, I'm a girl
He's an Atheiest, I'm a Catholic
He's outgoing, I'm shy
He's pro-choice, I'm pro-life
He's emotional, I'll never cry,
He's had it easy, I've had strife
He's a slacker, I'm a worker
He's a crazy, I'm a wallflower
He's a dreamer, I'm a learner
He's so brave, while I just cower.
That's my little poem on me and my friend's differences.

My best friend is my son. Strike that . . . my best FRIENDS are my SONS. As for peers, I have no one that fits that tag. Been stabbed in the back too many times to consider anyone for that honor.
