A canadian one dollar is called a Loonie. It is so called because there's a lovely loon on the backside with her majesty the queen on the front. It's gold. I could go for a bad joke but I won't .
A two dollar coin is called twoonie for two dollars. It's silver with a gold center.
We also have pennies (1 cent), nickles (5cents), dimes ( 10 cents), quarters (25 cents)
a five dollar bill, ten dollar bill, twenty dollar bill, fifty dollar bill, hundred dollar bill and a thousand dollar bill. Unlike American money our's are pretty colours, blue-five, purple-10,green-twenty, fifty-deep red, 100-orange and 1000 - cranberry.
