Hi, I need a little help. If you have read or have a copy of either of these books (A Walk Across America, by Peter Jenkins)(The Natural, by Bernard Malamud) I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me a couple of quotes from these books. And if you could give me page numbers as well, that would be great. Please help if you can.

Okay for clarification. I did read the books. I just don't remember them. I don't need to wright an essay. I just need the quotes. I can not look them up because the library is closed.

“Well, sir, my name's Peter Jenkins.” I took a deep breath. “I'm walking across America. I started in upper New York state in October and I'm heading down through the Deep South and then on over to the West Coast.”The doc looked as if he had just delivered quintuplets when he expected twins. He blurted out, “Why in the name of God would you want to do a thing like that?”
“To get to know the country.”
Doc stared at me. “So how does everything look?” he asked.“You know, doc, it's looking better and better all the time.

i don't have the books, nor will anyone's random quotes help you write your essay. should've read them and prepared ahead of time...tough lesson learned...
