I would recommend checking out the newest edition of the book Writer's Market. If cost is an issue, you can probably find it at your local public library. OR, they have a great website with a search engine that allows you to look up scads of different magazines and websites that are looking for short stories in the genre that you have written in (there is a subscription fee for the website, however).

The reason I'd suggest something like this is that it's difficult to tell you what places to submit your story to without knowing anything about it. I would give vastly different answers if your story was science fiction than I would give if it were romance!

Definitely swing by your library and give this book a look!

I highly recommend Writing.com (www.writing.com)

It's well-moderated, contains excellent forums, and has a 'points' system so that people who want comments and critique can receive them - but also can participate in the community.

If you are past that point (although I notice a spelling error in your very first word, and a capitalization issue) you could try

http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/shortstory/shortstory.html

There are four sections, and if you read them all you'll find a number of places to which you can submit short stories.

(Note: I'm not currently a member or moderator of Writing.com, or of So You Wanna. This information is provided strictly in an attempt to assist, and all further action is taken at your own expense of time and energy :P )

The publish stories. They have writing contests (mostly the contests are for non-fiction which you did not mention if this story was.) I have a couple of stories on this site.
