yes it is correct in some apt complexes because the water runs through the pipes and is loud and disturbing. i was on a building as such for a while and hated when someone washed or showered after i went to bed because it always woke me up

Must be a ghetto apartment. The noise of the water in the old pipes must be disturbing people. You SHOULD be able to run it but he's your landlord so you have to listen to him.

That said people weren't supposed to do laundry after 9pm. But we were the apartment next to the laundry room and people did it all the time but I didn't give a **** cuz I couldn't even hear it and I did mine that late too lolol

On every night or just this particular night (because of work)?

I dunno where you live but in states where I've lived, there must be running water for a room/apartment/house to be suited for occupancy. He can't tell you not to run water after a certain time.

There could be a water restriction in your town but that's for watering lawns/outside plants/washing cars/filling pools.

Check your lease or, if you don't have a lease, find out the laws governing "tenants at will" in your state. He can't restrict you inside water usage.

If it is in your lease and you agreed to it. It probably makes alot of noise.
Best to do what they ask and avoid problems that will lead to them not renewing the lease next time.

unless u have it in your lease which i dont even think is legal let him try and stop u. if he threatens to evict there are free legal agencies in every state that would laugh in his face.
