My friend you have let the finer things in life pass you by. I would suggest jumping head first in to all the Beatle albums. There are many interesting songs that they wrote. Some are straight forward and some are drug induced. Thank you Bob Dylan. One song off the top of my head that has similar lyrics, would be "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

If you listen to more and more of the Beatles songs the majority of them kind of tell a story within them all. "Revolver" album has quite a few in this style of them, along with the fan favorite "yellow submarine"
