I learned to ride by taking the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. They offer a 3 day course at community colleges around the country. The first day is all classwork. The next two days are on the motorcycle. The MSF provides the motorcycle and helmet. You just need to wear shoes over the ankle, long pants, long sleeve shirt and gloves. In some states, it also satisfies the requirements to receive a motorcycle license.

Yes I do. I have been riding them a long time - since I was 14 (I am now 48). I have had Honda's, Suzuki, Harley, and Yamaha. My current motorcycle is a Yamaha R1, which is a 1000cc four cylinder racing bike. It is VERY fast. Unlike any other bike I have ever ridden in terms of high performance. It will outrun any car on the road, accelerating from 0-60 in under 3 seconds.

Yes, I own an '86 Honda rebel 250......... had it for 10 years. Perfect bike for a girl, light enough to pick up if you drop it, looks like a little Harley, people often ask if it is a Harley, lol, small enough that I can put my feet flat on the ground at stoplights, waaay more comfortable to ride than a noisy vibrating Harley, always starts right up and never needs work like Harleys do, and it's still got enough kick to let me keep up with the big dogs. I love my lil Rebel. I never ride "biatch" behind a man. I've had it up to 85 mph, but any faster and it's so light I feel like I am gonna go airborne, and I dont want to lose control, I have never went down and I am not about to.

I do and I often do too! You can too!
Sign up for classes at your local "Motorcycle Safety Foundation". You can buy the bike that is right for you after you pass the class. They supply a small bike to use at the class. Just bring a helmet, gloves, long pants and long sleeve shirt, and a pair of work boots.

Motorcycles are great. I would suggest riding dirt prior to riding street. Riding dirt you learn a lot.

YES, it would kill me if I had to buy a car or couldn't ride. Riding is a mixture of road sense, common sense and co-ordination of everything going on and around you. Once you ride you realise driving takes up about 20-25% of your attention, wheras if you ride and don't pay attention 100% of the time you'll be in trouble!. I take it you've never ridden????......
