Some people are just plain sarcastic. Or they may be resentful of the subject. They ASSUME that the questioner has absolutely no idea what they are asking. Just keep asking your questions. After all, this IS a question and answer forum. It is NOT a classroom. If the person answering does not LIKE the question, they have the right to move along...

The asked has every reason to be irked. The onus is on the asker to ask a question without violating the other's right to his personal space. You do not have right to have your questions answered by all and sundry. Answering to a stranger's questions is one's own choice.

Sometimes people don't want to address any more problems after a hard days' work. That's is what the news tend to be. A media discussion about other people's problems and murder, chaos, pain, suffering, extortion, etc. These items can be depressing and taxing to absorb when one is perplexed with their own issues.

We all make judgments and assumptions about people with little or no evidence. This is not a one on one conversation and basically we humans are all so full of ourselves, we think we know everything and others know nothing. Asking questions is good, sorting out the answers you get is essential.

It doesn't bother people, it just bothers stupid people who don't know what to say about the day's news, or have no idea what the day's new actually is. I asked about a current event and got a huge response. Just keep asking. You'll see.

I'm not sure it bother, in case it does, guess it has nothing to do with opinions - its just that news ( the kind that rhetoric oriented media dishes out to us these days) is so disgusting that it could make people disturbed about discussing it further. Maybe they were even affected by it - could be .....u never know.
