First off, I was taking birth control pills and I stopped taking them the last week of July. I was expecting my period but it never came. It's been almost 8 weeks later and no period. I've read that it could be just me getting of the pills but it shouldn't take this long..? So a few other things- I've been really hot lately, I sometimes feel a little sick or nausea 9specially if I don't eat), smells seem a little stronger and I've been tired and sometimes I can't sleep I just feel fatigued. I don't throw up or my breasts really don't hurt....

I've taken total 4 pregancy tests and they have turned out normal. What does it sound like to ya'll?

And if I get a blood test doesn't it tell you only 7-15 days if you've gotten pregnant?

please let me know. thanks;)

blood test will let you knwo you are pregannt any time after about 9 days after conception, and it will work thru the rest of the pregnancy (not sure i understood that question fully). just wanted to add it took me almost 18 months for my cycle ot get regular after getting off birth control pills.. i had some cycles like yours, two months long, i was not ovulating (i was charting/temping and TTC).

Most labs can process a blood HCG test within a day or two. If you have been trying to get pregnant, then it is possible that you are. The nausea and intense sense of smell are not usually things that happen after stopping the pill. The lack of period suggests it as well, but due to hour history with the pill, it could be a fluke. A vaginal exam would give some indication, as the uterus enlarges to the size of a large pear by 6 weeks ( 2 weeks after a missed period) and by 8 weeks ( 4 weeks after a missed period) its the size and shape of a big orange. Your doc can do a quick exam to tell you what it appears like in there. Breasts dont always hurt during pregnancy and nausea without vomiting is common to.SOme ob gyns have ultrasound in the office and have a vaginal transducer that allows very early pregnancies to be viewed.

It really depends on how long you were on the pill. I was on the pill for about 11 years. went off and got pregnant right away. I did end up losing the baby but was also told it could have been an "empty" pregnancy, meaning no baby, just placenta. I knew before I was even "late" that I was pregnant, had all the symptoms. I lost the baby at 3 months.
If all the pg tests come back negative, you are probably not pg, but you never know...those things are not really accurate. The best thing to do would be to go to the doctor for the blood test.

Okay, the answer before mine was really stupid.
I found out that I'm pregnant back in June. You definetly have all the symptoms, but I would say until a blood test is confirming your diagnosis or curiorosity for yourself.....I would assume your're not. Getting off birth control pills is tricky. Your body can fool itself into thinking that it's pregnant when it's really not which would be the reason why you're experiencing all these pregnant symptoms. Yes, it takes the body a while to pick back up into regular mode after those pills, but I think the better advice is to seek medical attention for why your period hasn't began yet. 8 weeks is really 2 months, and no period after 2 months is a reason to be alarmed. Look into it.

I wouldnt put too much into the nausea, etc have you been having unprotected sex? I guess it would depend on the days and if you were ovulating and how long ago that was. Im thinking if you have gotten 4 negatives that you probably are not pregnant. My advice is to see your Dr and find out why you havent gotten your period yet.

either way you need to see a doctor. u could be ill and when u come off birth control everyone is different. u can get a blood test in an emergency room to find out now and u might not be sleeping and feeling sick cause u stressed yourself about wondering if u are or not.

Most doctor encourage women to get on birth contol and get off after being on it for a month, it speeds up your horomones if you are trying to get pregnant. You need to go and see a doctor your body could be trying to reject the additional horomones that its producing.
I know this sounds odd but I went through the same thing. Your body maybe trying to get back on a monthly cycle. The only thing I can tell you is go see a doctor.

You may be BUT it doesn't sound like it to me. HPT tests are REALLY REALLY accurate. If you are pregnant it must be really early.
