Make sure it is comfortable. Make sure it has good acceleration, no transmission problem, make sure it has no allignment problem. Look for signs of body work done, don't buy a car that has been in an accident. buy a car between 1 and 5 thousand more likely, you can buy one for 10,000 at a dealership used and finance part of the cost. Try to buy a fairly new model like 5 years old. The best cars are hondas and toyotas because they are low maintenance, so it doesn't cost as much to fix, and gas milage is good. Make sure you get the title (this sounds obvious but I know someone who is very savvy and yet overlooked that and didn't get the title til much later on).
