You could try myspace.com. If you have an account and the band has a page, you can listen to the songs that are available there. You can not download them, but as long as you're looking at the page, the song will play.

Pandora.com is amaazing....you let it know your musical interests and it creates a "station" based on those likes and dislikes...as each song plays, you give it a thumbs up (good) or thumbs -down - Pandora will never play that song to you again....it just keeps getting better and better and is free....amazing!

Keep a tape handy in a decent recorder than call the local radio station for the kind of stuff you want.
Used to work fine - but it takes a few weeks to fill a tape with what you like!
