RIP Steve Irwin, I have to admit I almost shed a tear for the Crocodile Hunter.

I would like to go fast, in a race in my car, at 100 years old making love to a 25 year old girl... well any one of the above would be okay :P

True but word is, he was messing with it and thats why it stung. They are very peaceful and gentle unharming creatures. Ive touched one before. Guy on the news (marine biologist) said something must of made it feel highly threatened. He was a good guy though. Im still shocked and yes, thats great that he died pursuing his dreams. May he rest in peace.

I think that whole notion of "at least he left doing what he loved" is a load of mortal crap. He was at work. If a guy loses his life working at the sawmill (and loves his job) is it more tragic? To the survivors it is because he didn't make it to retirement. "What he loved" is just a warm mental hug for those that continue to live.

I agree. He enjoyed what he was doing. Freak accidents happen all the time, and he probably knew deep down that it would happen some day. But not many people die doing what they love.

Yes but his death sparks me as extremely unusual.
StingRays are often shy animals that don't like to use their stingers and instead, swim away. How is it that this man who plays with crocodiles, whales, bears, sharks, ect. ends up dying because a sting to the heart from an animal that is LEAST likely to kill.
To me, it was gods way of saying, "You've upset my animals enough, it's your time to go..." because I know when he teased some of those animals, they weren't pleased..

Yes he died doing what he loved, but its still very sad, he was very young, had a wife and 2 children, I was shocked and saddened by the news. I enjoyed his shows at times, he will be missed!!!

Yeah, i think dying the right way is important. I wanna die from doing something great, eating too much, in my sleep, or while having sex.

When it's my time I hope I go out doing what I love to do. I think that's the way he would have wanted to go. But I do feel sorry for his kids.

no offence but I thought that a croc would have got him, not a scared sea creature. some people thought he went to far, but he likd it, y dis 'im. I'd probibly die doing somthing stupid too, so i can't say too much.

I think the crocodile hunter was teasing and taunting the sea creatures and it turned on him. He got what he asked for......I never liked this guy! Look what he did with his baby! He was so cocky about it too......he was always "in control".....how ironic!
