No drivers do not wear a cup underneath their firesuits. They have a lot more to worry about than protecting their genitals. They are more worried about if they do get in a wreck with protecting their lives!!

I race in England and none of my friends wears a cup. However, a good friend of mine was going for the first corner and we and about five others got involved in a big smash. We all wear 6 point belts but he had not "positioned" his carefully and he had a huge accident, flying over the top of my car.
He was OK except his testicles were trapped by his belt. He was in so much pain and swelling you could not believe it!

Good question. The only way to find out is to perform a cupcheck. Walk up to a race car driver and kick him in the nuts. Be sure and say cupcheck while you do it.
