I do! It's sad, I cried. He has two young kids and a wife; I can't imagine how tough this must be for them. Add that to the fact that it was so unexpected, and a freak accident... He was a cultural icon, and I've always loved watching the Croc Hunter with my brothers. I can't believe he's gone...

I think we all lost a really good friend, even if we didnt know him personally. Everyone I have spoken to today had heard the news, and were sad and shocked at his death. You couldn't help but like the guy-- what a great personality he had. I really feel for his wife and children, and cant imagine how hard it must be for them. I think we all will miss him. I hope he is in heaven, amazing the angels with his animal skills and his witty personality.

I will.
The world has lost a great conservationist.
Death is never pleasant, but I can't help thinking that it's better to go out doing what you love than after a long disease with months of suffering and wasting away. Steve definitely died doing what he loved.

I was almost crying! I've watched his show since the first episode. He was such a great father and husband. I know that Terri must be really having trouble dealing with that kind of loss. I couldn't believe he was dead. It's just that he was so good with animals I never saw this coming.
