There's no use in forcing yourself to someone who cannot take you as you are. If he really loves you, he should marry you considering the fact that you are already a divorced-woman. Even if his parents won't accept you, he should fight for your love for each other.
But the way I look at it, your boyfriend does not love you enough to make you his wife. And may be, he is not also good enough to be the stepdad of your child. If you continue your relationship with him, you will always feel the emptiness of wanting a home for your child which your boyfriend doesn't want to fill.
Once and for all, have a heart-to-heart talk with your boyfriend. Tell him that you want to have a happy family because you want your child to have a normal life even if he/she will have to be reared by a stepdad. Ask him if he is not really marrying you and for what reasons. And tell him that if he cannot fight for your love and take you as you are, it may just be better for you to separate ways with him (if you can really do it).
If you cannot part ways with him, you may just feel contented with having a relationship with him without any marriage vows but I tell you that relationships like that most of the time do not last for long, more especially in your case where his parents don't like you at all.
If I were you, I would face heartaches from breaking up with him with courage and determination. After all, time heals all wounds so they say. Then, I would move on with the hope and faith in my heart that someday, somehow, Destiny will reveal to me the man who deserves my love. I hope we will share the same idea. Good luck.

If he's making his decision because of his parents or the fact that you have a child, and you are divorced, you don't need him. You are good enough for him to sleep with but not to marry or bring home to mommy and daddy. If he can't accept you with you past (which by the has made you into the wonderful person you are today), you don't need him. He's just going to string you along until he finds someone that mom and dad approves of. Girl leave him now. It's going to be hard because you love him. Be strong and do it for your child. Find yourself someone who's proud to call himself your child's father, even though he's not biologically. You and that child are a package deal. You have to as an obligation to yourself and your child do what's best. And that's leaving that fool. And don't know if you believe in prayer, but pray and God will help you through. And God will send you a better man.

How long were you married could have a factor in his decision. Try talking with him and see what his feelings on the subject of you being divorced. It doesn't really matter what his parents think but it's nice to be accepted into a new family. But if you two make each other happy that's all that matters.

First of all You should maybe sit down with him and his parents and talk about this and how much it hurts you & that you love him and want to be with him and let him tell them that he feels the same way you do about him. And find out what reasons they give you for not liking you. Maybe they are arfraid for him, like your after his money if he has any. If you did bad things in your past maybe someone said something to them about you that makes them feel this way towards you. But just what you put as your question I say get rid of him, there are men out there that will take you and your child and love you, which this guy obviously don't because he is listening to mommy and daddy. But there are things you left out like how long you have been with this guy, Is the child his, has he been married before, does he have kids, how old are you and your child, how old is he, does his parents and him go to church, do you go to church, what religions are you and him and his parents, has his parents ever liked you, has his parents ever given you a chance, what are his and his parents beliefs, do you do something that his parents don't like (for instance drink, drugs, disapline your child or let your child run around and disrespect other people and their property). These things and more should be given for people to give all the help that they can. I hope this helps you out. my Yahoo id is bucksolutions1 or yahoo messenger if you ever want to talk or have any other questions.

My advise to you, is move on and find someone that wants a ready made family. There are others out there that are a lot more accepting than sounds like him.
Your goal is to be happy, and making you child happy as well. If you go into this relationship or try to stay, it is not going to be a happy or stable relationship. Get out now, it will beat a lifetime of misery.
I hope his is based on religion or something other than outright hateful.

If your boyfriend is allowing his parents to control him that much, he is not mature enough for marriage. You are better off alone than with someone who is supposedly an adult, but still cannot make his own choices.
Run from this relationship!! He needs to grow up and act like a man, instead of a child. If you marry him, expect a ton of problems from your in laws!!!

Then he isnt your boyfriend at all. I say drop that load and go find someone who will accept you and your child as a single package. you deserve to be able to continue your life without the judgement of others. If his parents dont think highly of you and he wont marry you because of things that happened before him- he wasnt worth it to begin with.

If he really loved you then he would stand up to his parents. He would tell them that he loved you and your child and that if they loved him that they would respect you. He should not want to marry or not marry someone because of his parents. He must not truly love you. Sorry but don't waste your time anymore. You will find someone who loves you and your child and will stand up for you no matter who it is. My mom was divorce with 3 kids and my dad's parents told him that they would disown him if he married her. But he did anyway & they ended up loving her and knew then no one could have been better for him. That is true love!

Don't get married. Live with each other or see each other from time to time. Marriage is not everything. All my friends are divorced at least once. One is on his fourth wife.
Best wishes

I have to agree with the other answers.
This guy is only wasting your time.
This guy is not the one. Move on.
Think on this - Every one is a little damaged from life. Every one has a past filled with events that we are proud of and not so proud of. We all make mistakes and try to live with them.
.......I bet even his parents.
