...due to an accident or abuse, I don't remember. Anyway she was adopted by a couple who invested a lot of time & money in getting her help to learn to communicate. She eventually learned to do so by placing her hand on the throat of anyone speaking to her to know what they were saying to her. The husband became obssessed with her & attacked her at some point. The wife realised this & became jealous, she manages to get her husband to take her for a ride in his car & causes a fatal crash. If anyone remembers this movie, I need to know the name of actors & film. Thanks.

This film was one of those old black & white films. I was about 10 at the time I saw it so that would have been almost 20+ yrs ago.
