I asked a similar question a few weeks ago but unfortunately didn't get the responses I was looking for..

I'm a 20 year old looking for a full-time well paying job, with somewhere reasonable in terms of living to settle and get my life back on track. I'm currently in California.. I'm looking primarily in the West Coast of the United States.. Vegas, Pheonix, Colorado, Oregon, Washington State, Alaska, etc.

Any help is appreciated..

There seems to be quite a few jobs here in the Seattle area, but rent here is very high, mostly because condos are taking over the area and more people are renting because buying is so expensive. If you are willing to live in the suburbs and commute though, Seattle could be the answer you are looking for.

Besides, compared to California, Seattle will still look like a cheap place to live.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR SEARCH!

I would recommend Phoenix and maybe Vegas. Currently, Phoenix is expanding and job opportunities are doing great. There are a lot of openings in Phoenix and also Scottsdale. Rent in Arizona is pretty good right now, it ranges from 400-800, depending on the location and how many rooms you are wanting. Oregon is known to be the hardest place to look for a job, unless you're into computers, etc. Small towns in Washington and Oregon is tough, unless you find something in the city, but the rent there might be expensive. Hope this helped! Good luck!

I am no expert, and a Canadian, but I have always like Bellingham, Washington.....lots to do, and about 100,000 people now....still small townish....but growing fast and seems like there is lower rent or housing prices than closer to Seattle...
