I think the worst I had to read would be a tie between The Sun Also Rises and the Scarlet Letter. The best would definatly be Huckleberry Finn.

Depending on what reading level we are talking about here. I really did hate the Scarlet Letter. In Junior High, I loved the Outsiders.

I think The Scarlet Letter is the worst book we have to read in school, but I also dislike Huckleberry Finn. I actually think it is a really good book, but I have my first ever analytical research paper on it and need help. Could you help me? Crazy122789@yahoo.com

Worst: "The Rhetoric of Aristotle" by Lane Cooper (I think). I don't think it was meant to be a book to be read like a novel in three class periods, so I skipped every day that we did it. It was sort of interesting, just not meant to be inhaled like that. A close second goes to Jamaica Kincaid's "Annie John", because I thought it was horrible when I read it for class, though the easiest read ever. The second time I read it, it wasn't so bad... but still pretty sucky.

Best: In high school, Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye." In college, "The Autobiography of Malcolm X"

Best--Cat's Cradle. Or the Oedipus Trilogy, by Sophocles.

Worst--In Cold Blood (that Capote book about the murder of the Clutter family. Capote was a movie about the making of the book).
