I am about 190-195 lb 5'9 male and I don't look incredibly overweight but i tend to have some man boobage going on (not majorly overlapping my stomach, but its got a lil bit of depth).

If I do chest excercises like benching will they flatten out, or will that create more muscle and make it look too big? Any specific workouts that are effective?

Hi. You cannot remove fat from specific areas via exercise. It will come off proportionately from your entire body. You are also correct about building the muscles underneath and making it look even bigger.

You could consider lipo if it bothers you that much.

Otherwise just exercise and eat right and you will eventually lose weight all over your body and look fine....you can wear baggier shirts until then.

If you want them to flatten out, you'll need to lose weight. The best way to do this is by doing some cardiovasular exercise mixed with weight training (specifically, the chest). This will give you some muscle tone and as the weight comes off, you'll look pretty "buff."

Well, some chest exercises could tighten the muscles and make them lay down more, but I wouldn't do TOO much. Don't increase the amount of weight you use because that will create bulk and push them out.
What you need to do is lose overall body fat. I know, I know...groan!! I hate hearing that too because I'm trying to lose saddlebags. But, it's impossible to completely spot reduce so that's why overall body fat has to be decreased.
Good luck!

Well actually at 5'9'' 195 is overweight,so you will not get rid of your man boobies until you loose some weight but keep working out. Try some presses and some aerobic exercises they will work.
