A gel is a type of colloid, which is a suspension or emulsion containing small, finely dispersed particles. In a gel, the dispersed particles combine with the liquid phase to make a semisolid. One common way of making a gel is to mix methylcellulose with boiling water, then cool to room temperature with stirring. As the mixture cools, the particles of methocel combine with the water to create a clear gel. Other cellulose derivatives, such as hydroxypropylcellulose, or natural gelling agents, such as gelatin or veegum, may also be used. The consistency of the gel will depend on the properties and amount used of the specific agent.

like hair gel? all i know is it makes you hair pointy and stiff, i dont like it.i guess, and im no certified gelologist, but i guess its kinda like glue, its liquid for a while and then it hardens?

it basically makes your hair stick up
for example i have a mohawk and it makes my mohawk stick up
hair spray helps too
