They're not. You're probably more reprehensible for passing judgement.

Have you never heard a tree scream when it's limb is cut off by the power company?

Have you ever been in a garden and heard the wimper from a plant whose flower has been plucked?

Have you ever heard the deafening cries of pain when a field is harvested of its bounty?

All living things have reactions to the good or bad done to them. God put us in charge of this world and all the animals in it. If we choose to eat an animal, we should be sure there is another to take its place, just as we should when we cut timber for housing materials.

Humans have a soul and are above all other living creatures on this planet. We should not deprive ourselves of nourishment to appease the feelings of a head of lettuce, or an ear of corn.

We should also, however, be humane and put animals, (the animals that we intend to eat or be sold for consumption), down swiftly and cleanly, causing them as little pain as possible.

I'm happy that you have a lifestyle that makes you feel socially responsible. But there are more noble causes to fight for than that of animals. How about caring for people who are forgotten because of natural disasters the world over. How about caring for your fellow man, whether he is a meat eater or not. Why do you hate your fellow man who is human as you are, but care more for an animal who is of a species lower than our own? Would you like it if all meat eaters shunned you for being vegan? I think you would probably be happy. I'm sad for you because you separate yourself from others for this reason.

God told us it is not what we put into our mouths that defiles us, but what comes out of our mouths that defiles us.

Just for your information, my daughter is vegetarian. She is still a teenager. She has had more aches and pains since she has become one. I eat less meat now, but I still enjoy eating it.

Peace

actually, your stance is wrong as to why one should go vegan. overpopulation of the earths animals would result in some pretty hairy scenerio's....but....if one doe's go vegan they will probably be healthier than those that do eat meat.

as far as the rest of your statement, this shows how uncaring and biased you can be towards those that do eat meat.
this does not solve a thing.

my suggestion is maybe you are lacking protein....a good vitamin and some omega three's. otherwise you would make much more sense when supplying your void of a brain and heart.

I'm sorry if you find me morally reprehensible, but I can't please everyone. I love meat. Especially barbequed meat, but I still care for the planet. Besides if we don't eat meat then the animals will overpopulate and we'll be in serious competition with them for food and space, in which case it'll be us or them. Unless you want a massive animal genocide later on down the road then we need to eat meat. Besides, I think you'd agree that I have pretty good morals if you got to know me.

inpoetry1 is quite correct, the earth has nothing to do with meat eaters or vegans ,,at least meat eaters dont make up dishes pretending to eat veggies,, for example never will anyone hear me order a steak looking vegetable,, why do vegans order soy meat,,damnit if you want meat get it,,like certain women want nuthing to do with men yet purchase male looking replacements...

Ah, another young, immature person who is trying to save the world. You are an animal with canine (ripping and tearing) teeth. THAT MEANS that you as a human were meant to eat meat.

You are an animal, and so is a bear. Would you tell a bear to not eat deer? I think not. Get mature.

I have to disagree. Probably since the beginning of time animals have been put on this earth for us to eat. What is disgraceful to me and where I do understand how you feel, is that most people are not grateful for the animal who gave its life for us to be nourished. We are part of the food chain';we just happen to be at the top of it.

umm.... we're not. exactly how do we harm the earth by eating meat, but other animals that eat other animals don't? and as for the vegan thing, how are you hurting the earth (or the cow) by drinking milk? are you opposed to breastfeeding too? what's the difference?

Hey I have a question for you: Why are you insulting people you don't even know? Just because I eat meat doesn't make me a bad person. You're not perfect, so stop passing judgment on others.

I eat meat because it's soooooooo goooooood.

I don't think it makes me "morally reprehinsible."

Leave us alone. We don't try to make you eat meat, so you shouldn't be trying to make us go vegan.

Why don't YOU get a life?
