It sounds like you should have text messaging added to your plan. It should only be about $4 per month, so it's well worth it for the $24 you just spent sending text messages.
If your parents pay your bill, you should approach them before it comes and tell them what happened and that you'll pay for it or work it off with chores around the house. It will be worse if you don't tell them and they find out from opening the bill. In the future, you should realize you have a problem BEFORE you have a large bill to pay.
But as someone who had a $100 phone bill as a teen, I can certainly relate. And for the record, I had to pay the bill.

it's usually 10 per text but do the math for 5 or 10 so you can have an idea

Its only $24 extra just pay it or try and complain to the cell company and say that you did not know or that your phone messed up and sent items you did not know about
