all the previous entries, since i sharte the computers i don't want past searches to be remembered.
Thank you to those who said, delete but that didn't work, an entry will come back if you type the first letter of any past search
please help

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.

You can also go to tools>>internet options and delete cookies,temp files, and history.

go to Tools>>internet options>>content tab>>and click "auto complete" then uncheck the "web address box.

Double click in that search box, select what you want deleted and manually hit your delete button-that should do it.

Try this! Go to
Internet explorer>Tools>Options>Content>AutoComplete> and press "Clear Forms" this will erase all your previous search.

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.

You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.

To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

youhave to have your pointer on the word you are going to delete
then hit delete.
the best way is go tools/ internet options/ and delete cookies /temporary internet files /history
and that should take it away .
