Right now I know that he is a bit stressed so things are a bit hightened, but he has always had a problem with being overwhelmed, overly upset when mad, overly sad when upset, overly... you name it, I on the other hand am very relaxed person. I not so relaxed that I am a slob or don't care about things, but I figure worrying or getting upset never helps a situation, moving onward and pushing toward the goal will see you through the hard times. Mind you I can shead a tear or be down, but there is always a solution, you just have to find it. I figure that whatever bad thing comes my way today, then tomorrow, next week, month, year, will be all together different. Never look at the problems look for the clearing. My husband is the opposite. How do I help him? He always feels depressed and down, not the happy go lucky person he was when we dated (we dated for 5 years so it wasn't like I didn't really know him).

Being there for him is a great first step. I use to be the same way and after sitting down and writing things down that were truly important to me - I calm down and relaxed. My boyfriend told me a therapist told him to do this - so I took the advice and now I DON"T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF ANYMORE. Hope these helps ya

You can't help him. My husband sounds like you and I am the worrier. However, I just worry a lot. Your husband sounds like he has changed over time. he MIGHT be suffering from Depression, in which case, talking to a therapist might help him. It's nothing you are doing wrong, and there isn't much you can do that will change him (it'll just sound like nagging)

See if he is interested in talking to a counselor - a therapist could help him learn coping mechanisms for his stress, as well as ways to work through his problems. And if he is depressed, there may be medications that can help him.

He needs to first seek the attention of a mental/behavioral healthcare professional. If he is truly depressed, then this is not something to put off. My situation is different, but my husband was depressed. I knew he was down, but didn't realize the severity of the situation until he tried to take his own life. Be supportive. Get family and/or friends involved in the support. He needs to see a professional. Best of luck to you!!!!

I am just like you and believe me , it is beautiful. The problem is that there is very little you can do for a person like your husband. He is his own solution and if he cannot find a solution, you cannot help him. The best thing toucan do is to accept him just as he is

Everyone changes with time and time also changes from good to bad and bad to good. You just need to give him support as much as possible. Also you can bring him to psychatrist, who can really help him to get out of the tension. You need to be more patient and caring then before.

All The Best.

I suspect this is over your head. He needs some professional help...see that he gets it and that will be the best help you can give him. Good luck

Just continue to be there for him. Maybe you can try counseling.
