i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Steve Irwin will remain an Australian Hero forever. He was a brilliant guy that died to young. May God go with you Steve and may his loving and caring hands guide your family through this hard time and for the rest of the years.

horrible, i hope the wife and children are o.k.
the zoo at which he owned had flowers from everywhere, people had sent. but the biggest one from the zoo said, "Steve, from all god's creatures, thank you. Rest in peace." its so sad, i always thought he was indestructible. but at least he died doing what he loved

There's sortof an unreality to it. He seemed so indestructable with these deadly animals, and in an odd way, I think these deadly animals respected him. Shame he's gone.

Such a tragedy... I could not believe it. He's been so close so many times flirting with danger. God bless his family, his son and wife!
