hands down, i will pick the man, everytime. i am lucky enough to be self sufficient to make my own money. i require plenty of attention and that is something money just can't buy or replace.
seeing as how this question is from a man, somehow deep down i know that this is the correct answer. but if my husband would happen to run around on his off time wearing fuzzy animal slippers and oven mitts, all bets are off, i'll take the money and run.

I want my husband home every night and we will scrape by. He has had chances to work nights and all the time making good money. I asked him to quit. I am a family oriented person. My husband and son are what makes me want to wake up every day. Money cannot buy the happiness they bring me all the time. Scraping by is still enough to live. I choose my husband with me.

A man who is home every night and we scrape to get by.
Regardless of "good money" the relationship will not last if the man is gone alot. I would take the man and do the best we can.

i have the husband that makes a lot of money but travels about 1-2 weeks a month. (home on the weekends) Definitely i think that's the better of the two. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. As you are married longer, you find that you can go longer w/o seeing the person. You don't love them less you just know what's best for your family.

I'm really not sure which. My husband was gone most of the summer and I missed him alot. He makes good money and so do I. But he's making money whether he's working at home or traveling. If he weren't getting paid from working at home, my salary is enough to provide ample. But when he's home he drives me crazy after awhile, and then I want him gone just for a little relief. But I also need him home for the children. They drive me crazy when he's not home. There just needs to be a balance.

I would prefer my husband to be home every night. If it were a temporary situation where he had to work nights or be away from home for now because he was waiting for another job that he could be at home then that would be okay, as long as it were only temporary. My dad worked for hydro, was away all week and came home on the weekends. I hated it. I wish my dad was around when I was growing up more, and I never seen his money because I was too young to know the concept, I promised myself I would never do that to myself when I grew up, I want my husband at home. My mother endured loneliness and she became insane and beat the crap out of me and my sister because she didn't have him to help her out so she lost her mind. I want my kids to have their father around and I want my husband to be home every night with me.....I don't care if we have to scrape by....love is what matters the most...not money.

Hunni, my husband is always away on the road and he makes fairly good money, i would love to have him home for good, but right now we are scraping to get by, so hopefully he can get back out there so we can survive. he is usually gone for 7 weeks at a time, which is so hard

It really doesn't matter......true love has no value, BUT if I'm in love with a guy and I want a real life with him, I would say gets home every night but have to scrape by.....only because you appreciate eachother more with the struggle you are going through......I've seen too many break-ups because of a cheating spouse because he's away for too long......

Well to be honest with you I don't care how much my husband made, I just wish he was away more often. I love him to death, but I am also a very independent person and I don't need him around all the time. I like things my way and I can get most things done by myself. And of-course I would like more money.

Money cannot buy real happiness .. i think i would rather have a hubby close by.. .material things pass away life is short... my husband got killed in a semi truck accident and it is a lonely world we live in .. .make do and be sure to let him know no matter which way it is that you love him every day .. never send him away without the knowlege that you love him and give him one heck a big hug.. you could close the door behind him and it could be the last chance you have for that hug....
