Marvel has Marvel Universe where you can look up origins and bio of Marvel characters both living and dead/presumed dead. Its a great place to look up whats happened to a character throughout its life. Does DC have a similar place if so where can I find it?

there is a comic dc collection called

who's who of dc comics. they don't print anymore,at least i don't think they do, but you can find many back issues.

also secret origin of dc comics show the beginning and sometimes their ends if they died at any certain point.

i have a book that i wish was reprinted with current comic characters called the encyclopedia of superheros. they also have a supervillian one. they are not just marvel and dc characters. it covers all of them. even their costume changes, first appearance, if they married or had kids or if they were from one universe or another like earth 1 and 2. the original book was written from Jeff rovin. these books are as big as the star trek encyclopedia

the site no# 1 mentions is perfect. i check it out. its cool

I don't know about an official site, but there are a number of fan sites. The glcorps.org site has everything you ever wanted to know about every single member of the Green Lantern Corps that has ever appeared. And the hyperborea.org site has a similar history and background on the Flash and every other super speedster in history, in their Those Who Ride the Lightning link. There are also links to sites for other characters. The thing I like about them is that they also go into detail on the villains, who are often forgotten and passed over as uninteresting. (They also have links to fan fiction and fan art!) Enjoy!
