It's okay with me. I think I'll be a rebel and wear white sandals to work tomorrow.

honey, it is just fine to wear that white blouse or any other during the year. fashion experts used the old etiquette rule no white dresses, shoes, purses , slacks, or skirts after labor day. that was to signal the start of the fall season for clothing. i really think that rule ts some what out dated. you need to use your own gut feelings on what is appropriate. the after labor day rule never applied to blouses. a white top is a basic to any wardrobe.

Not wearing white after Labor Day does not apply to blouses.
P.S. It is a stupid style rule put out by the manufacturers and designers to get you into wearing fall stuff...but there are a lot of hot days in Sep/oct that summer clothes could and should be worn.

I will continue to wear white after Labor day. Try to stay away from 100% cotton, though, and it's never okay to wear white shoes. White leather boots, if you can find them, are awesome.

That 'fashion' don't is so outdated it's not funny. The only people who actually follow that are old people and people who are so socially conscious they actually care what people think about them wearing white the day after Labor Day. My philosophy is if you like it, wear it, and to heck with the fashion police.

I've always wondered about that rule. Because our calender is a cycle, it is technically ALWAYS after labor day- even on labor day, it's still after last labor day. Does that mean we should never wear white?

Wear what you want, dear. :)
