Many of the college girls I know party 6-7 nights a week, dress only in Abercrombie-style clothes, and will act ditzy just to flirt with a guy. I don't understand this - is it just me who feels this way? I am not like this at all, and find that most girls like this will not be friendly to me because I am not like them. I am by no means a "geek" - I'm just a normal girl without caked on make-up, tan skin, and dyed hair who tries hard to get along with everyone. What do you think of this situation? Please understand that I am not saying that ALL college girls are like this - believe me, I am not like this and I have many friends who are not like this either. I am not out to offend anyone, I'm just looking for some opinions. Thank you!

Because the next generations are becoming more and more plastic. Guys are looking for plastic girls and girls are looking for plastic guys.
"Real" people will rule the world when the poo hits the fan, because the plastic people won't know what to do without their credit cards and botox, so stay real, and you'll be OK.

At the school where I work, this sounds like the incoming freshmen girls. They stand out like preppy little sore thumbs until they
1) start gaining that freshmen 15 lbs,
2) see the different styles that the upperclassmen - er, women - are wearing, and
3) get their first grade report at the end of fall semester, and realize that if they don't improve their grades, daddy will make them come home and go back to stocking shelves at Hollister.
Don't worry too much about what they do. Be yourself. Your true friends will appreciate you for that.

These girls are looking for Casual Sex....they act this way to appear attractive to men looking for it....they do not want to appear initimidating or 'clingy'....
There is no harm in it if they really only want Casual Sex...yet many young ladies truly long for more and are just setting themselves up when they act this way. They will attract the wrong kinds of guys and even if they meet a nice one they will send him the wrong messages.
There are guys who prefer smart, funny girls. Keep on being yourself!

notwithstanding you need to imagine of it from the fellow who receives beauty surgical treatment. what's the point of residing if i won't be able to even stand to seem at myself in the misery. I have not in any respect had and could no longer have plastics yet when it make someone chuffed i'm for it. what's the point of doing some thing in case you'll die and decay?

Lol I know what you mean..I'm in college and I call them "tanorexics"--the skin and bones fake bakers with hair that looks like straw from bleaching it religiously. I don't know why they do this, but I think they act ditzy to act cute and get attention from guys. What they need to realize is that it only gets them attention in a negative way..it's sad really.

So true. I feel you on this. I don't know what their problem is. I don't get them. I don't understand why they even bother going to college. Oh well though. "It takes all kinds..." As long as I can demolish most on the academic field, I'm truly happy.

i'm in college now... i dont act like that and most of my friends are like me... but the difference is my school is so strict with the discipline and stuff... but yeah, i do notice girls from other schools acting that way... it doesn't look very nice... *eww*
i think you (and your friends) should stay as you are, it would be better for you and the rest of mankind for actually rational people to stay rational and smart...

cause girls are trying to impress dumb guys. I like to stereotype people cause its fun and in general girls that are dumb tend to be easier and guys like easy girls.
