Blacks crack at Whites?

Question

Why is it socially acceptable for blackpeople to crack jokes about white people and vice versa is frowned upon? Someof them generalize about white people i.e we being slave owners . But when we generalize about bthem being criminals (which they are a higher ratio then whites in america) we get accused of being racist. And lets say a white guy ounches a black guy everyone thinks "HATE CRIME" vice versa isn't such a big deal. Whys is this?

But saying that there are a higher ratio of black criminals then white is false. There are actually more white people in prisons then blacks. The reason that statement is racist is because it's false. Ususally when people see the number of minorities in prison in staticstics they assume minority means black. When they actually lump hispanics, asians, indians, etc. into one for stereotypes sake.

If a white guy punches a black guy it's not assume hate crime, if a white guys punches a black guy andwhile calling him a ****** then that's when hate comes into the picture for me.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if racism was not a problem. One day we will be able to stand side by side with every color on the earth and those present will not see color, only the eyes of their Lord.
I wish we could all see one another as God see us. I have met some wonderful blacks and wonderful whites. I have also met some sorry blacks and sorry whites.
Racism is sin whether you are black or white or any other race and it needs to be abolished. I am not saying that what has been said here is incorrect, I am saying race does not matter. If you are interested in what is important to the Maker, it is this:the Bible says that what stirs the heart of God is unity among the brethern. May we all strive for this.

I agree with ya totally why isnt there a white history month?? Most are huge babies that need to grow up and quit whinning so much what happened in the past is in the past and they more then get their fair share of things in America, example welfare, foodstamps, I know a lot of whites do too but come on we are not the predjudice of a country, just try to go to Africa or another country and get the help they recieve here. Had a black guy say f u honkie I said f u ****** but im prejudice and he wasnt???

Well I was totally agreeing with you and I too have posed this same question to myself. But as a black person I can tell you that be it wrong or be it right, white people had generations, hundreds of years to beat the living f#ck out of black people, so when in comparision to cracking a joke how dare someone white be offended. I mean really, lets weigh the options. Hmm.. would I want my great great grandmother to have been a slave, or someone to make casual fun of my race? And to the person who answered your question stating what would happen if there was a white history month- THERE ARE ELEVEN OF THEM. AND HAS ANYONE WHITE STOPPED TO REALIZE THAT THE SO CALLED BLACK HISTORY MONTH JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE THE SHORTEST MONTH IN THE YEAR? I'll just stop right now before I piss myself off even more.

whoa wait a minute.... u acting like black people just sit around and have time to joke about whte people. and yes white people were slave owners thats the truth and the truth hurts. black people are criminals yes, but some get put in jail cuz of that racial profiling crap, thats the cause for the higher ratio, and plus they are quicker to get the death penalty. hate crimes are serious but they happen in all races.

Let's be real...I don't know a single black person sitting around thinking of ways to "crack" on white people. Personally, I have friends of all nationalities and there are stereotypes that exist. We enjoy exploring those stereotypes and when you realize how ridiculous most of them are they just become funny. As long as things are done in good taste with the intention of exploring racial issues and NOT maliciously said to fuel racism, who cares? And if you watch BET, you would see that some of the funniest, edgiest comedians who breach the subject are WHITE.

Thats a very good question. There is definitely a racial double standard in this country. Black comedians joke about white people all the time, but white comics arent allowed to joke about blacks.

You don't really know what it's all about unless you live in the south. Things have turned around. Not just in south, but everywhere. It's not blacks being discriminated against nowdays, but blacks are discriminating against whites and getting away with it.
Take any job. The blacks are mostly sorry, don't work, and they get away with it. The jobs don't do anything about it cause they say the black person will sue them for 'discrimination. WHAT??? But it's ok for them NOT to do their job. IT's crazy as hell, man. This goes on at EVERY JOB I know about.

And look at comedians. If you see a black comedian, I have NEVER seen a show where they didn't talk about white people. But I have also NEVER seen a white comedian talk about blacks.

Pres. Carter started the 'affirmative action' crap, in which jobs are suppose to hire people according to their race, and NOT for WHO CAN DO THE JOB>>> hence, the reason for the country falling apart.

I'm sick of all of it.

well, just because there are more black people in jails doesn't give you the right to call them all "criminals".

i do agree on the fact that it's more socially acceptable for black people to "crack" jokes about white people, but those jokes are usually nothing close to calling a whole race criminals.

Dude, it's not that big of a deal get over it. You are majoring in dramatics, I've never heard of anyone who actually died from a good white joke. Don't you have anything else better to talk about, I guess not.
