Turn up some music ,and take one corner at a time an if you don't finish in one day take a corner a day but clean real good on the corner you work on that day an by the time you get to each inch of the room you will only have spent not even a week on it an it will be spotless an it is a great feeling to see after wards .But always turn up some music you like it makes time fly !

I'm an old married lady lol ok I'm 30 but anyway I hate housekeeping too..... my house now, looks like my bedroom did when I was younger! But when I have to clean I start in one spot of the room (any spot, makes zero difference where), clean it all up top to bottom, then move to the right, clean up that spot, and so on forever until it's done. And put on some music, preferably something you can sing loudly and badly to.

Rid yourself of clutter and your room will be cleaner longer. Put a waste basket in corner and make shots with your garbage or a box you can take stuff to the salvation army for less fortunate people. You could put on your favorite cds while cleaning. You can have a reward for yourself that you don't let yourself have until the room is clean - something you like to do.

Wait until you are super-motivated, then start cleaning a small section of your room, like your dresser. After you do that, hopefully you will get in a cleaning mood and start cleaning your room, one area at a time.

It always helps to have a TV or radio on for backround noise and eat unhealthy, but oh so tasty, foods throughout your cleaning adventure.

Play music, get out the windex and go to town. Try dressing in party clothes, maybe even a little party hat. It can be your cleaning outfit. Every time you get a section clean yell out Hooopah! Hooopah! Your parents will think they have pushed you over the edge and start being nicer to you. A big red clown nose doesn't hurt either.

listen to music you like or talk to a friend on the phone. it always makes the time go by faster, but talking on the phone may slow you down. also, once you clean it this time, be sure to pick it up every day. it makes it so much easier in the long run, and it won't take you more than 5 minutes a day.

I love cleaning my room, I love to organize everything, and then when I am done, I move things around and redecorate, it makes all the hard work worth it, get creative. It's fun when you get to be creative. If you clean it everyday and it always looks the same old blah room that is No fun.

Put on some loud funky music that makes you move to the beat. I would take it in shifts. First get rid of all the dirty laundry, then throw away all trash, then hang up clean clothes, then fold the others... etc,
Keep it going, do it in whatever order you want but to me it's easier and you seem to make more progress if you do it in shifts.

To clean the room:
- Use music
- do not put videos or some other visual distractors
- Try to throw away as much trash items as possible everytime you can. Do not keep trash items (trash items: things that you are not going to use in less than 13 months)

To keep it clean:
- again, no trash items means more clean spaces.
- "A space for each thing... and each one in its space"

Good luck!
