I was just wondering. I recently started working and although my husband says that he is completely secure, still makes little gestures that he is not. I think it flaturing to some degree to think he is a bit jelous, it's more attention than I have gotten in quite some time. I do think it is silly though, I am completely over weight, about 100 pounds (started working again because staying home did it to me, I have lost 25 pound though, yeah!), and do not feel that men would find me desirable. I have a great personality though and make friends easily and he is a bit overwhelmed I think. Can men still find over weight women attractive? ( I wouldn't, that's why I want to fix it, for myself mainly and for my family.) I guess I am having a hard time understanding why he may feel unsecure.

You're getting attention, plain and simple. He wants to be reassured that you won't leave him for a cutie. Yes, overweight women with great personalities are VERY attractive to men. Reassure your husband that even Fabio couldn't tear you from him. Also, don't tell him about the attention you get.... it's only hurting him.

Of course men still find overweight women attractive. Beauty is not whats on the outside but whats inside, hence the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." If you are uncomfortable with the weight then continue to loose weight, not to mention it may improve health. I think your husband may be insecure because he is used to you being overweight.... he may have the same thoughts as you about overweight women not being attractive. That is far from the truth. Some men prefer bigger women. Now that you are loosing weight, he may feel more threatened. Do whats right for you and noone else.

it goes like this:
I have gone out with good looking girls and no so good looking girls.
in terms of being married or any LTR - i don't care who the other person is - take your pick - j. alba, j. biehl, h. berry, p. anderson - whatever - 'it' gets old.
cannot be avoided.
think of it like this: even if a guy has steak and lobster for dinner every night (as an example of some fantasy dinner) , after a while, he will look over and see what the guy at the next table is having. there are a great many awesome things on the menu out there. it's more about the guy and his willingness to stick to his promise to stay at home for dinner.
no matter what country / region you are talking about, they have some awesome regional 'cuisine' - asian, middle eastern, mediterranian, european, american, central american, south american, 'soul' food. something new is always interesting - but dinner is still dinner. it's not magic, you are full after one or two plates and what was new is not new anymore.
as far as his secure deal, i have no idea what to tell you.

Hell yea, I myself am smaller but I know lots of guys that like plus sized women. I think what they are most attracted to are women that feel confident and take a little effort in the morning to look nice. Like dress good, spend a little time on hair and makeup. This shows that you are secure and know how to emphasize yourself and hold your head up high. Go girlfriend and congrats on the weight loss!

I personally find over weight men or women less attractive than average weights,(there are chubby chasers). Weight aside I'm sure he finds you attractive. The insecurity has little to do with you. Insecurity comes from within the individual, not from others or outside factors. It stems from self worth and self esteem issues. Be sure he knows he means the world to you. Stroke his ego/esteem ,he'll probably be fine . Good luck

Yeah, I think men fall for women that are funny and have a good personality. A lot men are all about overweight women.
And personally, I think a lot of men get jealous. They don't want their women even thinking about other guys.

I think your hubby is insecure because he wants you overweight to keep the men away. Some men are so afraid that they can't hold onto a woman, that they will actually passively encourage her to remain overweight. I wonder how your husband reacts to your weight loss???

Lots of men find plus-size women attractive. To each his own.
Great to hear that you lost 25 lbs. This will give him a message that you are doing it for YOU. As your confidence in yourself grows, it will show. If he gets jealous, so be it. Maybe he will show more interest in you.
Good luck in reaching your goal. Don't give up.

Hell yeah! Some men prefer bigger women...everyone has different tastes.....I'm about 30lbs over weight (from what I think is normal for me!!!) and they love it! And not to be funny, some men like to keep their women fat by means of control and to keep you self esteem down so they won't have to worry about you leaving them (not saying that this is your husband).....no matter what size u are, most men don't like for another guy to be eye balling his girl.
