My engine gives me the trouble code 674, when i looked this code up it say "incorrect 3rd gear ratio obtained". What does that mean exactly.......????

The transmission has told the computer that it cannot achieve the correct gear for the load, speed and engine speed. It may be a minor control solenoid or sensor inside the transmission.
Take it to a REPUTABLE transmission shop or the Ford garage. It isn't probably something you can address yourself.
Don't continue to drive it much more in this condition, as you will continue to cause more damage.

An intermittent problem like this is often an electrical issue (loose connection, broken wire, etc.) Are you certain everything is plugged in tight? Clean connections? Any obvious wiring issues? Finding intermittents can be a real challenge, because you have to be looking at the fault when it occurs.

If there are no electrical problems

Try to adjust the gear selector and than clear the codes
