Largely because they're unselfish and so don't look out for themselves as much as "others" do. In other words, the "good" don't put as much of their energy into keeping themselves safe, fed, et cetera, so they're more vulnerable to harm, especially from people who might want to "step on them" on their way up.

Not true.How old was mother teresa? And if all the good died young, wouldn't that imply that all old peole are evil? Thats a ridiculous notion to say that all the good die young. And if all the good die young, Jesus would have died when he was like 2 (as he is said to be the most good a person can be). It would be true, however, to say that the good die young IN SPIRIT. They are good and good and good and other people walk all over them and they become fed up with it and become mean.

The good die young because we all serve a higher purpose and our lives are not our 'own' but belong to a higher purpose - God. When you can get your mind wrapped around that one - not easy I know all other things really fall more into place. We all serve some underlying purpose or influence or impact on someone else's life without knowing why. The fact that the good die young makes us ALL appreciate the goodness and fragility of the life we have before us. We look to their lives as having been cut 'short' and not realizing their potential. Hence, unknowingly, their lives serve as a constant reminder that we MUST push ourselves to make our own lives meaningful - whatever that means to each one of us in our way.

Our children are not suppose to die before there parents either.
Yes you could be right too good for this world. Than why enter.??

The good die young because of our brains..
We see them at their prime, and not at their decay..
The untimeliness of their death creates a shock that we convert into admiration for the deceased..
Not to forget that youth is a subjective term: 33 is very old for many.. 44 is very young for others..

They have reached their destineys. Found their higher purpose. And been called by God to serve him in bigger and better ways.
