Roslyn, WA a former mining and lumber town about 1.5 hours east of Seattle on I-90. The Brick Tavern is an actual tavern in Roslyn complete with a running-water spitoon underneath the bar.

It's supposed to take place in Cicely, Alaska, but I think it was filmed somewhere in Canada? I could be wrong about where it was filmed -
