ok, so i left my clothes in storage for the summer in the school's attic, and now they have this 'attic' smell.... would it be ok if i just febreze everything down, or do i have to wash them again? NOTE: the clothes were washed right before i put them there.

I think I would wash them again. Else you could spray them with freebreeze. When I store my clothes I put 2 or 3 downey sheets in my tub with a lid that goes over the tub and they smell real nice when you open it up! Try it next time! it works great!!

There is a new Febreze detergent, that is save you wash your clothes with Febreze. It works with strong oders. I bet it will work for you! I believe I got my febreze detergent in the laundry isle at Walmart. GOOD LUCK!

I would wash them again or just leave the box open for a few hours.

YOU CAN USE FEBREZE BUT A BETTER WAY TO MAKE THEM SMELL FRESH IS DAMPEN A WASH RAG WITH FABRIC SOFTENER AND PUT THEM IN A DRYER FOR 20 MINUETS OR USE SOFTENER SHEETS.

Just place them outdoors to air. The sun does a great job of getting rid of the odors. Don't worry, no rats ... some folks will say anything to get people to do more work than they should have to do.

I guess it all depends on what you want to smell like. Mildew, febreeze or a little of both.
