Do they remove or stuff in the earwax?
You realize this explains the quarters your dear old Uncle used to pull out of your ears?

the earwax pixie raised from birth to tunnel in to your earhole and useing very tiny tools remove the wax that would otherwise render you stone deaf within days, those unfortunate people who have to go to the drs to have their ers syringed out have offended the ear wax pixie and no longer get visits

The function of an earwax pixie is to keep the mean and gnarley old moths out of your ear. Pixies do not like moths because they have blinding red eyes.

Since pixies are usually beneficial creatures, I think they would help remove earwax, rather than put it in.
