Intel's Pentium D 805 Presler Dual Core (2.66ghz)
only if ur a big overclocking fan
otherwise, go with AMD Athlon 64
the Athlons have great low power comsumption and great heat distribution
they also overclock quite well

oh
and about the Pentium D 805 Presler Dual Core
it is a 64 bit low power and heat comsumption CPU
great, and cheap, it is 95 bucks on www.newegg.com

Athlon 64, hands down. It's 64 bit. Pentium D is 32

AMD all the way. AMD processors are better engineered. They may be a little bit more expensive, but when it comes to computer stuff you get what you pay for. I use an Athlon 64 for my custom built gaming system and don't regret it one bit!

Athlon is BEST for games(not any more though with Core 2 duo out) and Pentium D is for everything else videos music etc.

Havent seen anybody use the registered trademark icon in a few years. Athlon 64 is more powerful.

pentium cost more and is a slower 32 bit processor but athalon is cheaper and a faster 64 bit processor. AMD makes a better product than intel.
