xavair would win for a couple of reasons first the speed of thought is faster then a bullet
second xaviar would never have to fight he would just make kal el think that he was a 9 year old girl and have jean braid his hair

Well since Superman was recently under the control of Maxwell Lord during the "OMAC Project" it stands to reason that Superman is not immune to mind control. Now Max did say it took some time to take over Superman, and the use of his mind control powers had a negative effect on him (nose bleeds). Since Professor X is a skilled telepath, much more so than Max Lord, then he would be able to quickly take control of Superman's mind. Chances are in such a battle Superman will wont outright punch a man in a wheel chair, and once Professor X takes control Of Superman he would simply have Superman forfeit the battle.

Superman is faster, and could bake Prof. X with his heat vision from a distance. On the other hand, if Prof. X. used his psionic abilities, Supes might not even realize he was under attack until he was down. On the other hand, I don't think that Prof. X. would attack anybody without provocation, and if he bothered to read Superman's mind at all, he'd know the big red S was one of the good guys. On the other hand, if Superman attacked without warning, Xavier might just ASSUME that he was a bad guy. On the other hand, would Superman attack without warning...? Would Xavier...? Who told each of them that the other was evil...? Who put them in the cage together...? hey. waitaminit, this whole this is starting to smell suspiciously like a set-up!!!!

That's a good one .. now Xavier you mean who now, the guy from Eternal Champions or the Xmen one who acan dissappear?? Well in any case superman anyday. Now if they just limited to fighting in a cage, that is. I mean if it was no cage, Xavier would be better off, because he can disppear. Superman will never find him. But if they have to fight fist to fist, Xavier would have no chance. You need to put someone with REAL strength in a cage with superman, say Jagganunt. Now that's a fight

Xavier would be the triumphant winner! Cuz he could totally make Superman think that he's a goldfish out of water or something. But, more importantly, he would win because Superman is a wuss!! I mean, the guy can fly; shoot out of his eyes; move at incredible speeds; blow freezing breath; track people's heat signatures; bench press THE WORLD....and practically everything else than anyone ever thought "I wish I could..." about.... But he's still getting duped by NORMAL people!! Of course Prof. X could beat the crap outa him! Or at least wipe his mind clean (not that that worked out ever before... =] )!

Xavier. He wouldnt even have to move just make superman a baby in an instant wanting a bottle to suckle. Superman is all muscle but what good is it when you cant even crawl. Mind is mightier than the muscle.

Well depends if xavier could get ito his mind because on smallville there was guys who could put people under mindcontrol by shaking their hand but clark was imune to their powers. But if xavier could get ito his head all my bets would be on him but if noti migh still go for him because he could put up a shield around him with his mind and just make superman run till he got tired the he could use a psychic blast aainst superman and knock him out then use telekinesis to pick him upand just keep droping him till he could get the win.

Prof X would take that so easy. All he'd have to do is mentally block superman's powers, then do with him as he pleased. Also he could make superman think he was fighting lois, and we know he wouldn't do a thing to hurt her.
